courage, honour and all that jazz

I’m a little wired. These days a cup of coffee and an Oliver Stone film will do that to me. We’ve just finished watching Platoon, and all the way through I was wondering if it was a little odd that I lobbied for tonight’s pick. Are there people out there who don’t want to watch such films for one reason or another? It is not that I am into blood lust or the hardware, it is the intense psychological aspect to this genre that draws me in. How the men interact with each other, their situation and the enemy. How they deal with their experiences and how it changes them. In essence, tragedy.
